Who we are

Weddier (“we”, “us”) provides wedding website software, including RSVP, gift registry, and related tools. Weddier is operated as a sole trader business in Australia (ABN 77 304 533 964). This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use weddier.com and related services.

What we collect

Depending on how you use Weddier, we may collect:

• Account details — name, email, password, country, and site URL when you sign up
• Wedding site content you upload or enter (text, photos, event details)
• Guest information couples collect through RSVP and related forms (for example names, attendance, meal preferences)
• Gift payout details and payment links you configure (for example bank transfer details, PayPal or Stripe URLs, and custom instructions) — stored so your site can show or email them to guests
• Payment-related data processed by third-party providers when you or guests use those services (Weddier does not store full card numbers)
• Usage and device data — such as pages viewed, approximate location from IP, and browser type — including privacy-preserving analytics
• Support messages you send us

How we use information

We use personal information to:

• Provide and improve the Weddier service (including reviewing draft site content and admin usage for support and product quality)
• Create and host wedding sites, RSVPs, and gift registries
• Display or send gift payment instructions you configure (including emails to guests on your behalf)
• Bill optional paid features — Weddier Plus (one-time per wedding) and AI plans — through our billing partner (Airwallex Billing)
• Send transactional emails (verification, password reset, invites, important account notices)
• Keep the platform secure and prevent abuse
• Comply with law and respond to lawful requests

Couple sites and guest data

When a couple collects guest information (for example RSVPs), they decide what to ask and how to use those responses for their wedding. Weddier hosts and processes that data to provide the service.

Couples should only collect information they need, keep it secure, and respect their guests’ expectations. Guests with questions about an RSVP should contact the couple first; they can also contact us at the email above.

Gift payment information

Couples may store payout details, payment links (such as Stripe Payment Links), and instructions in Weddier so their site can show them to guests or email them on the couple’s behalf. That information is chosen and controlled by the couple.

Guests who pay on Stripe, PayPal, or a bank’s systems are also subject to those providers’ privacy policies. Weddier does not receive full card numbers from those checkouts when payments happen outside our platform.

We are not responsible for unauthorised access to or misuse of payout details a couple publishes on their site or includes in payment emails, except to the extent a failure in how we handle personal information under this policy causes that harm.

Who we share with

We use trusted providers to run Weddier. They only process information as needed to provide their services to us:

• Hosting and infrastructure (for example Vercel, Supabase)
• Payment and billing partners (for example Airwallex Billing when you purchase Weddier Plus or AI subscriptions)
• Email delivery (Resend)
• Security / bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)
• Analytics (Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights, and PostHog session replay on the couple admin area for product improvement)

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer (for example a merger or sale).

Overseas storage

Some providers store or process information outside Australia (commonly in the United States). Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps appropriate to the service, including contractual and security measures with those providers.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies and similar technologies for login, security, and basic site function. We also use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to understand performance and usage in aggregate. On the couple admin area (not guest-facing pages), we may use PostHog session replay to improve the product — inputs are masked. Platform operators may view draft site content for support and product improvement. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect how the service works.

Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

If you publish bank or payment details on your wedding site or in emails sent through Weddier, guests and others may see or copy that information. You are responsible for what you choose to disclose and for keeping your payout details accurate.

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Couples may delete content or close their site subject to our product controls and any legal retention needs.

Access and correction

You can ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you by emailing support@weddier.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, contact us first at support@weddier.com. We will review and respond as soon as reasonably practicable. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Weddier after an update means you accept the revised policy.
