Terms of Service
The rules for using Weddier’s wedding website platform.
Last updated 13 July 2026
Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your use of Weddier. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Weddier.
The service
Weddier lets couples build wedding websites with features such as RSVP, gift registry, and multilingual pages. Features may change over time. We aim for reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be able to form a binding contract (generally 18+ in Australia) to create an account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break the law or infringe others’ rights
- Upload harmful, abusive, or misleading content
- Attempt to disrupt, scrape, or reverse engineer the service beyond what the law allows
- Use Weddier to spam guests or send unsolicited commercial messages without required consent
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your relationship to a wedding
Your content
You keep ownership of content you upload. You grant Weddier a licence to host, display, and process that content solely to operate and improve the service.
You confirm you have the rights to the content you upload (including photos of people) and that it does not violate anyone else’s rights.
Gifts, payments, and fees
Gift registry payments are processed by Stripe Connect. When you enable gifts, you authorize Weddier to create or link a Stripe Express connected account for your wedding site, to sync account status needed to run the registry, and to collect Weddier’s platform fee on qualifying gift payments via Stripe application fees.
Guests pay your connected Stripe account (you are the merchant of record for those charges). Weddier is not a bank and does not hold guest gift funds as a deposit-taking institution. Payout timing and tax documents are handled through Stripe where applicable.
Weddier charges a platform fee on qualifying gift payments (currently 3%, plus any payment-processor fees Stripe charges). Fee details are shown in your admin payment settings, on our pricing page, and at checkout where applicable.
By connecting Stripe through Weddier, you also agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement (https://stripe.com/legal/connect-account) and Stripe’s applicable terms. You authorize us to share with Stripe the account and transaction information reasonably required to provide Connect services for your site.
Refunds and consumer guarantees
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) that cannot be excluded.
If Weddier fails to meet an ACL guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy (repair, replacement, refund, or other remedy as the ACL requires).
For gift purchases paid to a couple via Stripe Connect, refund and dispute handling is primarily between the guest, the couple, and Stripe. Contact the couple first for gift issues. Contact us at the email below if you need help with a platform or fee issue.
Weddier intellectual property
Weddier’s software, branding, templates, and design system remain our property. You may not copy, resell, or misuse them except as allowed through the normal use of the product.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, create risk or legal exposure for us or others, or if we need to for security or operational reasons. You may stop using Weddier and request account closure subject to outstanding obligations.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law (including the ACL), Weddier is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss of data arising from your use of the service.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or AUD $100 if you paid no fees), except where the ACL requires otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Courts in Australia may hear disputes arising from them, without limiting any non-excludable consumer rights.
